Insurance and Payment
We are participating providers for most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna and VIVA. We will file all claims for you and receive payment directly from the insurance company. Any copayments or deductibles are the responsibility of the patient and should be paid at the time of the visit. If your insurance is with a company that we are not contracted with we are still happy to file the claim for you, with the understanding that any amounts not covered by your plan will be your responsibility.
We send all lab work to Quest and biopsied tissue to Skin Pathology Associates, Inc. If your plan requires that we use a different lab, please let us know so that we can avoid creating any unnecessary expenses for you. Likewise, if your policy requires that you obtain a referral from your primary care physician prior to seeing a specialist, please make sure that you do so to prevent being responsible for the full cost of your visit.
